Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP)

This fertilizer contains 11% N and 55-48% P2O5 (21-24% P), and it is a 100% water soluble fertilizer.

NH3 + H3PO4 ----------> NH4H2PO4

This fertilizer is added directly to the soil in its manufactured form in the form of granules, and it may be made in liquid form and added with irrigation water. Its interaction with the soil is acidic, and the presence of ammonium with it requires attention to the subject of adding water and not adding fertilizer near the seeds, although its acid reaction reduces the issue of ammonium turning into ammonia. In other words, the fear of volatilization is less compared to DAP
